Terms of Service

These terms explain how DigiCyber handles service requests, communication, delivery, pricing, and customer responsibilities.

1. Introduction

DigiCyber provides student-focused digital, document, printing, design, website, and computer support services. These Terms of Service explain how orders are placed, how work is handled, and what responsibilities apply to both DigiCyber and the customer. They are intended to be clear and practical for students and other customers using our services.

These terms are informational website terms and are not legal advice. If you have a specific legal question, you should seek appropriate professional guidance.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using the DigiCyber website, submitting a service request, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the service details provided in the relevant order or request. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or place an order.

DigiCyber may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes in service operations or business practices. Continued use of the website or services after an update means you accept the revised terms.

3. Description of services

DigiCyber provides practical support services for campus and student needs, including but not limited to document formatting, proofreading and presentation preparation, printing, scanning, binding, website and design work, online application assistance, computer support, and related digital tasks.

Service availability may vary depending on the request, the information provided, the required files, and operational considerations. Not every task is the same, and DigiCyber may advise whether a request fits a current service offering.

4. How orders work

To place a request, a customer selects a service, provides the required information, answers the relevant questions, uploads any necessary files, and submits the request. DigiCyber then reviews the request and may contact the customer for clarification, additional information, or instructions needed to complete the service.

Orders are processed based on the details supplied by the customer. We may ask for more information if the request is incomplete, unclear, or requires additional context before work can begin.

5. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • providing accurate and complete information;
  • explaining the goal or requirement clearly;
  • submitting relevant files and instructions in a timely manner;
  • checking the accuracy of submitted details before final submission;
  • being available for communication where clarification is needed.

Where a service depends on files, instructions, or delivery arrangements, the customer must provide the necessary information and must ensure that what is submitted is appropriate for the request.

6. Accuracy of submitted information

DigiCyber relies on the information provided by the customer. We do not independently verify every fact in a document or every instruction submitted with a request. The customer remains responsible for the accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness of the content they send.

Before final completion, customers should review details such as names, dates, formatting requirements, deadlines, file content, and delivery or pickup arrangements. Where a customer has not provided enough information for the task, processing may be delayed until clarification is received.

7. Uploaded files and document responsibility

Customers may upload documents or other files as needed for a service. This may include assignment files, scanned documents, CVs, images, PDFs, and similar content. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have the right to share and use the uploaded content for the stated service.

Customers should avoid submitting files that are unrelated to the request or that include unnecessary personal or confidential material. DigiCyber personnel may access uploaded files only as needed to process the requested service.

Where a document contains technical, academic, or commercial information, the customer should ensure it is appropriate to share and that any required permission or institutional rules are respected.

8. Service pricing and quotations

Pricing may vary depending on the service, the scope of work, the complexity of the request, and the information supplied by the customer. Some services may have listed or starting pricing, while others may require a quote after review of the request.

Where pricing is not yet fixed, DigiCyber may provide a quotation or confirm the estimated cost before proceeding with the service. A quoted price is subject to the details provided and may change where the actual request is different from the original instructions.

Delivery may be available around campus for eligible services, and where delivery is available it is currently provided free of charge as part of the service arrangement. This may vary by service or location, and the applicable option will be communicated during the order process.

9. Payment terms

Applicable payment arrangements will be communicated by DigiCyber for the relevant service or request. DigiCyber does not currently provide an online payment processing service through this website, and customers should not assume that any payment is automatically processed online unless specifically agreed in writing or by direct communication from DigiCyber.

Customers are responsible for agreeing to the payment method or arrangement communicated for their request before the work is finalized or delivered.

10. Order processing

Once a request is submitted, DigiCyber reviews the submission and may contact the customer to confirm details, deadlines, or required files. Work begins only after the request is sufficiently clear and the relevant service requirements are understood.

If a request is incomplete, not feasible as described, or outside the service scope, DigiCyber may ask the customer to revise the order or may decline the request without unreasonable delay.

11. Order changes and cancellations

Customers may ask to change their request or cancel it before significant work begins. Once work has started, changes may affect timelines, costs, or completion. DigiCyber will communicate any relevant impact where appropriate.

Where a request is already underway, cancellation or change options will depend on the service stage and the work already completed. DigiCyber may decline or limit changes where they would materially affect the service or create unnecessary disruption.

12. Delivery and pickup

Customers may collect completed work or receive delivery where available. Delivery timing and logistics depend on the service, the customer’s location, and any applicable instructions submitted with the order. DigiCyber will communicate the relevant arrangement as clearly as possible.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery or pickup arrangement is appropriate and that someone is available to receive the completed work where required.

13. Service completion

Completion depends on the customer’s instructions, the availability of files, the clarity of the request, and the actual work involved. DigiCyber aims to complete requested services carefully and professionally, but completion timelines may vary due to complexity, volume, clarifications, or other operational factors.

Customers should review completed work before final use and should inform DigiCyber promptly if a correction or clarification is needed.

14. Intellectual property

DigiCyber may provide design, web, document, or technical work as part of the requested service. Unless otherwise agreed, the customer retains ownership of the content or materials they provide, while DigiCyber’s service output is provided for the customer’s use in connection with the specific request.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring they have the rights to use any content, images, documents, logos, or material they submit for a service.

15. Customer-provided content

Customers may provide text, images, logos, academic content, or other material as part of a request. The customer confirms that they have the authority to share that content and that it is appropriate for the requested service.

DigiCyber is not responsible for verifying the originality, legal status, or institutional approval of every customer-provided item. Customers remain responsible for the content they submit and for compliance with their institution’s rules where relevant.

16. Acceptable use

The website and services should be used for lawful, reasonable, and service-related purposes. Customers should not submit requests that are abusive, fraudulent, harmful, illegal, or otherwise contrary to the purpose of the service.

DigiCyber may refuse or suspend a request where the content, instructions, or purpose are inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with these terms.

17. Prohibited activities

Customers may not use the website or service process to submit harmful, unlawful, deceptive, or abusive content. This includes content that may violate institutional rules, public safety, intellectual property rights, or the reasonable use of a student service platform.

DigiCyber may decline requests involving inappropriate materials, unauthorized software, or other content that is not aligned with lawful or ethical use of the service.

18. Academic integrity

DigiCyber may provide formatting, technical, presentation, printing, research-formatting, document preparation, and related assistance. Customers remain responsible for complying with the policies, academic rules, and requirements of their school, institution, or program.

Academic assistance should be used in a way that respects institutional expectations. DigiCyber does not guarantee that any submitted or completed work will be accepted by an institution or that it is appropriate for every academic context.

19. Website development services

Website services may include design, site structure, content support, and related technical work. Customers must provide sufficient information about goals, branding, content, timelines, and desired features. Deadlines and complexity may affect the turnaround time and the final result.

Where a website or digital project depends on external content, third-party tools, hosting arrangements, or client-side materials, the customer is responsible for providing the necessary information and approvals.

20. Computer installation and troubleshooting

Computer setup, installation, troubleshooting, and related technical support services are provided to the extent described in the request and the support arrangement. The customer is responsible for providing accurate device information, system details, and any required access or permissions.

Where device configuration, data access, or system restoration is involved, customers should ensure they understand the potential impact before a service begins.

21. Windows licensing

DigiCyber does not provide pirated software, unauthorized activation, or license circumvention. Any software-related support should use lawful and legitimate software arrangements, and customers should comply with all licensing obligations applicable to their devices and software use.

If a customer requests software installation or activation support, DigiCyber may require the customer to provide the proper licensing or source information as appropriate.

22. Privacy reference

For information about how DigiCyber handles customer information, uploaded files, and communication-related data, please read the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of the understanding of how the website and service process operate.

23. Disclaimer

DigiCyber provides its services with reasonable care and professionalism, but service outcomes depend on the information provided, the nature of the task, operational factors, and the customer’s instructions. DigiCyber does not guarantee a particular result, outcome, or acceptance by any third party unless specifically agreed in writing.

We do not promise guaranteed turnaround times for every service, and actual completion may depend on volume, complexity, communication speed, and other operational requirements.

24. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DigiCyber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the website or our services. Our responsibility for direct losses will generally be limited to the service-related amounts actually associated with the order, or to the extent the law requires a different limitation.

This limitation is intended to be reasonable and is not intended to override rights or protections that cannot be excluded by law. Where a legal limitation does not apply, DigiCyber will act in good faith and within the reasonable practices of a student-focused service business.

25. Changes to these terms

DigiCyber may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect change in services, business practices, or operational needs. Updated terms will be posted on the website and remain in effect as of the date they are posted.

26. Governing law

These terms are intended to reflect the operating context of a student-focused digital service business in Kenya. Where a dispute or issue arises, Kenyan law will be relevant to the extent applicable, and the terms should be interpreted consistent with the reasonable practices of the business and local law. This is a practical business statement and not legal advice.
